Isabelle is playing U4 Timbit Soccer for the second year in a row and tonight was our first game of the season. It was a chilly 5 degrees which was OK until the wind whipped across the field and then it got to be pretty cold. The kids were all so excited, though, that the parents froze on the sidelines and tried to keep warm taking pictures.
What a difference from last year!! Last season (when Isabelle wasn't even 3 yet), she spent much of the time holding the hand of one of the assistant coaches and barely talked to anyone. Tonight, she was aggressively chasing the ball and telling the coaches all about her sister and how she was "so excited" to play soccer. I think she was almost too "wound up" by the whole thing because she kept falling on purpose and then rolling around on the field. Hopefully things will calm down next week!!
Wow! She's looking so big! So glad the weather worked out for the first soccer of the season.
